I spent nearly twenty years in retail, much of which in watch sales, specialising in Rolex, Omega, Breitling, TAG Heuer and Longines, as well as working with Seiko, Rado, Raymond Weil, Oris, Citizen, Maurice Lacroix, and many others. Initially starting as a sales manager, my experience developed to include the repair and restoration of watches and jewellery as well as sourcing vintage watches and parts from all over the world. Having come from a military family and as a history student my fascination became a passion for vintage watches due to their personal importance to each owner as well as their social and stylistic development.
With a wealth of experience and as my passion grew I undertook the BHI distance learning course whilst continuing to work full-time, after which I did restoration and repairs on behalf of several local jewellers and clockmakers for a number of years. With an appreciation for clients preference to speak to the repairer themselves, giving reassurance that their treasured possesion is in safe hands with an experienced specialist and being able to discuss any aspect of the restoration it followed to open my workshop directly to clients.
